Minimum Requirements

J.D. degree or equivalent degree
A minimum of 4 years legal experience with at least 2 years at US law firm or multinational company
Diligent and proactive work ethics
Demonstrated experience advising clients in a wide variety of subject matter, including Advertising and Consumer Law, Anti-corruption/FCPA, Antitrust/Competition, CFIUS, Election and Political Law, Global Compliance, Government Contracts, International Trade, or Public Policy and Government Affairs

Preferred Qualification

Work experience in or with IT / semiconductor industry
Advanced degree in law, political science, economics, international relations, or similar
Knowledge of/Interest in federal laws/regulations relating to the semiconductor industry, trade policy, US policies related to high technology trade and investment
Prior experience in a similar role (Policy or Government Affairs practice or Congressional office)
Ability to take initiative and follow specific and detailed instructions in both written and verbal form
Strong project management skills, with ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple projects on tight time frames while being thorough and detail-oriented
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills

Job Duties

The Government Regulatory Affairs Counsel will work on a broad portfolio of regulatory and competition law policy issues, legislation and enforcement matters, issue areas of great relevance. Primary duties include researching and/or monitoring issues of semiconductor policy, trade policy and trade enforcement actions, US export control laws and regulations, US sanctions policies and Sino-American economic and trade policies, US policies related to high technology trade and investment and IP policies related to semiconductor manufacturing and trade. The Government Regulatory Affairs Counsel must be able to advise effectively and make recommendations to senior management on direction and issue resolution. The Government Regulatory Affairs Counsel will manage ongoing relationships and regulatory requirements in US, and interact with outside experts, partners and regulatory agencies, to include meeting with regulators on behalf of SK hynix. Some international travel will be required.
